Common questions
What Ottawa moms ask me
What is a postnatal trainer?
+
A postnatal trainer is a fitness professional with specialized training in the postpartum body — core and pelvic floor recovery, diastasis, return to impact and the realities of training around feeding, sleep deprivation and life with a baby. It is a very different skill set from general personal training.
Do you train Ottawa clients in person?
+
Coaching is 1:1 and virtual, so you can train from home, a park or wherever the day allows. If you are in Ottawa, we can also coordinate with local pelvic floor physiotherapists and resources as part of your care team.
How soon after birth can I start?
+
Most moms start once cleared for exercise, often around six weeks — but there is no expiry date. Whether you are newly cleared or years postpartum, we start with breath, core reconnection and the basics before adding load.
Do I need to see a pelvic floor physiotherapist first?
+
No. Working with a pelvic floor physio is never a requirement. If you already see one in Ottawa, I align your coaching with their guidelines so your rehab and fitness flow in the same direction.
